I am formed by materials

Glass feels alive, warm and fluid.
Ceramics grounded, earthier, still fluid but colder.
Processing the materials is different, but there are similarities.
Positive and negative shapes.
Fluid turning into the un-reshapeable.
Small changes in the beginning lead to major differences.
They are predictable, but stubborn.
Their behaviours, colours, textures and techniques are part of their personalities which makes me fall in love with them.
They offer me space to play intuitively, while movement and visual pleasure stays central.

A movement is created by using organic yet abstract shapes and lines.
They flow over or behind each other, sometimes disappearing, sometimes appearing, sometimes only offering a glimpse.
Emphasizing depth while at the same time indicating to belong to a larger world.
But those suggestions are not only created by a combination of material, shape and form.
Colour influences the equation. They are used in bright and surprising shades, while primary colours are barely used.
The meaning of colour and shape is different with every piece.

The continuation of change in my work feels natural to me. My practice captures moments of time. It carries a momentum which mirrors my feelings and thoughts. Giving a body to my turbulent inside, showing it to the world.
