‘Purple and Pink’ is made in two stages. At first the glass pieces are made; the choice of lines is intuitively made, while the combination of colours was consciously. The combination of opaque and transparent colours, with three different shades of purple and pink and a white, makes the glass more fluid whithin itself. After making the glass pieces, a composition on canvas was created with them, which influenced how the shapes and colours would look like on the canvas.
The use of ‘complementary colour contrast’ makes it possible for the glass, painting and their elements to come together to create a balanced and harmonious aesthetic.

‘Purple and Pink’ is in twee fases gemaakt. Eerst zijn de glasstukken gemaakt; de keuze van de lijnen gebeurt intuïtief, terwijl de kleurcombinatie een bewuste keuze is geweest. De combinatie van ondoorzichtige en transparante kleuren, met drie verschillende tinten paars en roze en een witte kleur, maakt het glas vloeiender. Na het maken van de stukken glas werd er een compositie op canvas mee gemaakt, wat van invloed was op hoe de vormen en kleuren er op het canvas uit zouden zien.
Door het gebruik van ‘complementair kleurcontrast’ kunnen het glas, de schildering en hun elementen samenkomen om een evenwichtige en harmonieuze esthetiek te creëren.
